Ferrari Magazine Teases The Enzo Succesor The F70
The successor to the Ferrari Enzo is almost here. Ferrari released these images teaser images of the new super car. What you can see is the new sleeker headlights and a very wide grille. In the rear image you can see Ferrari draw from styling from both their Enzo and their beautiful new F12 berlinetta.
Ferrari is keeping this super car tight under wraps and pictures of the entire car are not yet available to the public. We hope to see more soon but expect the overall design to draw directly from their previous Enzo model.
Ferrari’s official magazine did publish and confirms that the new super car will be powered by a mid-mounted V12 engine linked to a Formula 1-derived Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) system. The engine is expected to produce a total of around 920 horsepower and the engine design will enable the car to operate on electrically for a couple of miles in order to keep the CO2 emissions within new regulations.
If the hype proves true you could expect this hybrid power plant to get you from 0 to 62 mph in less than 2.5 seconds, beating the Bugatti Veyron. Rumor has it that the top speed will be electronically limited to 250 mph although the car could most likely well exceed that.
The upcoming supercar will be about 20 percent lighter then the Enzo mostly thanks to new a carbon fiber body that sits on a carbon composite chassis. This decrease in weight is one of the leading factors in the cars increased performance.
Now the wait is on until it’s public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March.
