Video: 2013 SRT Viper GTS Hits The Dyno
The 2013 SRT Viper GTS is set to arrive at dealerships and then the streets in the hands of the best or worst drivers.
When it does arrive it will have been tested by every major testing firm such as Edmunds. During this testing process, Edmunds got the honors of getting the SRT Viper on the dyno. This is something that a surprising to topspeed.com which said a, “number of automakers would never allow this out of fear of huge horsepower loss through the drivetrain,” when put on a dyno.
All in all the 2013 SRT Viper GTS has claimed to be the most powerful Viper ever built and that is in part thanks to its 8.4-liter V-10 engine that pumps out 640 hp and 600 pound feet of torque.
This video gives you a first hand look at how much of that power actually is going to make it to the rear wheels and onto the pavement.
